Jaguar C-X 75 About Supercars! In the United States, Muscle car were often referred to as "super cars" during the 1960s. The Lamborghini Miura, produced from 1966–1973, is often said to be the first super car. By the 1970s and 1980s the term was in regular use, if not precisely defined. How your car's engine work?

Image
The most cars which are built today are powered by an internal combustion engine. They are so-called because inside (Internal) the engine, small explosions (combustion) make pistons move. This moves the other parts to turn your car's wheels. Engine cylinders.                                   Internal combustion engines contain cylinders. When the engine fires, piston is pushed up into each cylinder by a rod called crankshaft, squeezing a fuel-air mixture. Then, the piston is again pushed down by a tiny explosion. This is repeated along all the cylinders, keeping the crankshaft turning.    From Engine to wheels The power from the cylinders is collected by the crankshaft and transfers it to the wheels via the gearbox. The gears inside the gearbox turn in a front wheel drive car to pass on the power to two places: The front axle, which controls the front wheels. The drive shaft, which...
